HYDERABAD: The BJP floor leader in the Legislative Assembly Kishan Reddy on Wednesday said that India will not hesitate to bomb Pakistan 'if required'. The warning came at a meeting of the Telangana BJP's ex-servicemen cell at the party headquarters in the city, where BJP celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Divas'.
Kishan Reddy, referring to how the Indian armed forces conducted surgical strikes against terrorist camps in Pakistan a few months ago, said that if Pakistan does not change its 'meddlesome' ways with India, "We will conduct surgical strikes on Lahore.
We conducted a bus yatra (to Pakistan) for peace. If required, we will conduct a 'bombula yatra' (a bombing run) on Pakistan. The question of we being scared does not arise. If there is a war with Pakistan, they should realise that our soldiers carry the strength to wipe that nation off the world map."
The BJP leader further said that India had nothing to fear from China either. "China should realise that every Indian soldier is equal to a thousand of theirs. Today, India is being led by PM
Narendra Modi. India has a leadership that can take decisions on any issue, no matter how critical," he said.
"Modi is very patient with our neighbours because he believes we should be friends with our neighbours," he said. He also said that Pakistan, with China's backing, continues to provoke India and China, on the other hand, is encroaching upon Indian territory. "China believes it has military superiority but our soldiers have superior self confidence with which we can counter anything China can throw at us," he added.
